NEW CONSTRUCTION

At DPW Drafting and Design we understand the home design process and

we know that designing a full set of house plans can be overwhelming.

Our goal is to make the design process as simple as possible with expert

advice and client-tailored interaction.

Step 1:  For your new construction house plans we will meet with you either

in person, over the phone, or in a web meeting to discuss your initial design

ideas. These may be as simple as a hand-sketched drawing on scratch paper

or a plan you saw online but isn't exactly what you are wanting.

We assist you in completing our detailed customer questionnaire to

understand your specific requirements based on your life style and current

or future needs.  From here we create a preliminary drawing and starting

point for any changes.

Step 2:  After you have looked over these preliminary designs, with your feedback we make the requested changes and resubmit the plan for your review. This step can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on the number of changes and complexity of the home.

During this stage you will also have the opportunity to view your home in 3D or with virtual reality to truly "Visualize" everything.

Step 3: Once you are completely satisfied with the home design and floor plan layout, our home designers will create the standard construction prints required to build the home. After these final prints are finished you will have one last chance to look everything over and make any last minute changes before printing.

Step 4: With your final OK, we go ahead and print the blueprints to scale for bidding and construction. Your blueprints will also be sent to you electronically for easy sharing with family, friends, or contractors. The finished blueprints are sorted, rolled, and delivered in a crush-resistant cardboard tube.
